Obelisk Shelf
A sculptural cabinet in welded steel, finished with automotive paint and a high-gloss varnish. Conceived as a reinterpretation of the obelisk-shaped funerary monuments, its elongated, tapering silhouette encloses five open compartments, offering a functional space for books and objects.
The shelves are symbolically supported by four skulls, evoking the weight of accumulated knowledge when filled with books, or the vanity of material possession when used to display objects.
Combining geometric austerity with macabre symbolism, the piece blurs the boundaries between furniture and shrine.
