Studio SILCO

Studio SILCO is an independent design practice based in Sydney, creating objects and in-house experiments across furniture, lighting and spatial design. The studio explores the tension between industrial structure and colour, treating material, proportion and visual interruption as tools for shaping how an object is experienced. Rather than using colour as decoration, it is often introduced as an active element within the form, shifting the relationship between object, space and atmosphere. Working across different scales and typologies, Studio SILCO moves between functional products and more exploratory studies. Each project begins with a simple question around how an object might behave, adapt or be perceived differently in everyday environments. Its work is characterised by reduced geometries, exposed materiality and moments of chromatic contrast, balancing utility with a more sculptural presence.
