Founded in 2023 in Sydney, SILCO HAUS is a global design platform established by Alan and Vivi, partners in both life and design.
With backgrounds spanning design, product, and visual culture, they share a long-standing fascination with industrial materials, colour, and the role of well-considered objects in everyday life. Their approach is grounded in practicality, guided by intuition, and shaped by a sensitivity to form, material, and balance.
SILCO HAUS reflects their desire to build a space where design feels thoughtful yet approachable, curated yet lived-in. A platform that brings together global perspectives while remaining rooted in everyday use.
Based in Sydney, Alan and Vivi continue to shape SILCO HAUS through a hands-on, considered process, bridging curation, product, and visual storytelling.

SILCO HAUS was inspired by the Bauhaus philosophy, the idea that design should blend form and function seamlessly into everyday life.
We began with a question: “Why must beautiful, well-crafted design remain something only a few can enjoy?”
Our vision is to keep the depth of high-end design, and make its beauty accessible in a thoughtful way. If IKEA brought design into everyday life, we seek to bring meaning and aesthetic depth into that life.
The name SILCO comes from SILver and COlour, symbolising the balance between contrast and harmony, restraint and expression. When the quiet strength of silver and steel meets the vibrance of colour, a beautiful tension emerges, the harmony we fall in love with.
SILCO HAUS was created to share this philosophy with the world, a space that curates the harmony of steel and colour and makes good design approachable. To bring this vision to life, we founded Studio SILCO, where our philosophy takes shape through design.
A minimal base enhanced by vibrant colour, smart RGB lighting, modular structure, and intuitive control. — this is our modern interpretation of Bauhaus.

Curated designer products and exhibitions
SILCO HAUS is a curation platform focused on designer products and artist-led exhibitions.
Based in our showroom in Newtown, Sydney, we curate and present design objects that align with our aesthetic, while using the space as a flexible setting for exhibitions, gallery-style presentations, pop-ups, and creative events. From this physical base, curated works are introduced to wider, international audiences through thoughtful presentation and distribution.
We partner with designers and artists whose work resonates with our point of view, sourcing products and planning exhibitions that explore material, steel, colour, and contemporary culture.
